With every classic car, telling the history of the vehicle is half the fun. The back story on this truck is amazing. Check out this special youtube video posted in 2010. The trucks original owner, (a mechanic at the Ford dealership in Florida) sold the truck to a dealership in Rhode Island at this car show. The dealership placed classic cars on display in their Ford showrooms as decoration in each dealership across the north east. Growing up in Indiana, my father had a 53 Ford F100, sea foam green truck. We drove it on family vacations to the lake and it eventually became the first vehicle I ever drove. In 2012, I had been looking to buy a 53 Ford for over a year when I came upon this video. I was able to make out the phone # on the for sale sign that led me to the original owner. He told me the story of how he purchased the vehicle from the Ford dealership where he worked and eventually did a full restoration of the truck back in 1996 . He gave me the contact info for the dealership in Rhode Island that purchased the truck. I got in touch with the owner who had just sold 4 of his dealerships and needed to sell the classic cars on display at each location. I bought the truck sight unseen and officially became the second owner.

Numbers matching, original mileage. 239 FLATHEAD V8, 3 speed manual transmission with overdrive. Fully restored in 1996 by original owner who was a mechanic at the Ford dealership that he purchased the vehicle from. 28,000 miles since rebuild.
