This 1968 Pontiac LeMans 2Dr Hardtop - SURVIVOR - all original " It's only original once ! " This car has only 29,500 two owner original miles on the odometer. The original owner worked for the Pontiac Motor Division in the 1960's and bought the car for his Mother. Always adult owned, the second owner purchased the car in 1995. It has always been garage kept since new ( comes with a heavy duty Technalon car cover included ). This particular automobile runs and drives perfectly. The engine is a Pontiac 350cid V-8 with a 2bbl Rochester carburetor ( original, but rebuilt in the 1980's ) rated at 267hp and mated to the ST 300- 2speed automatic transmission ( Super Turbine 300 ) on the column. The only updates are the belts and hoses, thermostat, battery, spark plugs, spark plug wires ( have original date coded wires will be included if showing car for originality ). The car comes with standard brakes ( four drums ) which stops the vehicle efficiently for a 50 year old automobile. Shocks and Springs have been replaced but will supply original shocks in case the new buyer wants to have them rebuilt. The exterior Nordic Blue paint is all original and has a few small dings and scratches as one would expect on a 50 year old original car. The original Lt. Sapphire Blue vinyl top is in excellent condition without a mark on it. The Chrome on the car shines bright with no pitting virtually anywhere to be found. The like new showroom Parchment interior ( unrestored ) is in all original excellent condition with no rips or tears nor cracks in the dash, the only wear is on the driver's side door pull. The headliner and rear package tray are all original and in perfect condition. The options on this particular vehicle include; power windows ( all four work perfectly ), power steering, AM radio ( works, sounds good ), dash clock ( not working at this time ), maps lights ( all interior lights work ), a very rare Pontiac option ( matching color to the car ) trunk mat in addition to the original hounds-tooth trunk mat. The trunk includes the original G78-14 bias-ply spare tire along with the original jack equipment. The original steel wheels have been replaced with the correct year Rallye II wheels but with 1969 ( Red ) center caps instead of the correct 1968 ( Black ). Upon sale of the car two of the original steel wheels and the four original finned hubcaps will be included.
