Taken on trade by from one of our favorite Classic customers, John was a long-term owner who babied and enjoyed this beauty. In his words the car always drew a large amount of attention at the shows he attended with it. The car is stunning in its very serviceable black paint which holds a very nice shine but does show some patina and a few battle scars. This car is just the way a lot of folks like them, good enough looking for a show but not so nice you have to live in the garage with your duster insuring no spec of dirt invades.There's nothing like the sound of a Ford Flatty and this one does not disappoint with its wonderful exhaust note. There are just enough upgrades in carburetion and heads to give this old girl enough pep to motivate down the road very nicely.The interior is correctly finished in appropriate materials and presents itself quite nicely. The factory gauges were updated with Auto Meter gauges fitting in the original dash area. The engine compartment has a good look and the underside is as one would expect for a driver and is very solid and shows how solid this car has been for its life.The engine is a great running late model 24 stud "59L" flathead that has been rebuilt and stroked to 292 ci, Edelbrock heads, headers, modern ignition, high rise manifold with two ford 2BBL 8BA carbs. A five-speed manual transmission and Ford 8" rear end finish out the drive line. This flathead sounds great through the headers and full dual exhaust. The tires are 6.00x16 Firestone wide white walls with correct hubcaps and trim rings.
