Vehicle Description
Based on the latest GM C-body chassis and featuring a new wrap
around front windshield, the new Buick Supers were big cars for
budget minded buyers. Featuring simpler upholstery but the same
upscale instrument panel as the higher level Roadmaster, the Super
had the new round portholes on the fender that symbolized the
322cid "Nailhead" V8 engine that came mated to a 2 speed Dynaflow
automatic transmission. The sweep spear was also a key styling
feature on Buick's mid price luxury car. Standard Super equipment
included trip mileage indicator, electric clock, and a horizontal
speedometer.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this gorgeous 1955 Buick
Super for your consideration. Finished in what we believe to be
Cascade Blue with Dove White contrast paint, this car is in very
nice condition overall. The paint is in great quality and has just
a few minor imperfections. The body is very nice as well and has
excellent and abundant chrome trim. The car features the classic
sweep spear and porthole styling elements and also has dual
mirrors, drivers side spotlight, factory hubcaps, white wall tires
and chrome headlight trim. The interior features nice blue vinyl
seats that are in nice shape. The factory wheel is present, along
with the Sonomatic radio, defroster, 120mph speedometer, and front
bench seat with seatbelts. The dashboard is in good shape as
well.
This car is fitted with the smooth and good running original 322cid
V8 and column shift automatic transmission. It also has been with
its current owner for four years now and is a comfortable cruise.
