For Sale: 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in Vale, North Carolina

This 1985 Monte Carlo SS is a survivor with rare silver on silver color.  This car was sold new at Enterprise Chevrolet in Newton, NC and has been in North Carolina ever since.  Included with the sale is original window sticker, dealers copy of the window sticker, all owner’s manuals including pre-delivery inspection form, service contracts, tire warranty and Car Fax report.  There are only 40,558 miles enjoyed since new and documented thru North Carolina state inspections.

This SS has had one professional repaint over an absolutely rust/damage free body with its original color of silver metallic and looks better than show room fresh.

As you would expect, the interior shows no signs of wear attesting to the fact that this Monte Carlo has always been well cared for and maintained.

When it was time to give the car the right stance, UMI lowering springs were ordered and installed. Now it was time for a wheel upgrade so a set of 18” Boss wheels were installed.  Wearing 265/35 ZR18 on the rear and 225/40 ZR18 on the front.  Along with the silver metallic paint, gray interior and tinted windows, you have a high impact Monte Carlo SS with the WOW factor.

The high output 5.0 ltr (305 CI) RPO code BV4 is original to the car as is the 200 R4 transmission with overdrive.  Let’s not forget the 3.73 ratio rear end with limited slip and F-41 sport suspension.

• The only way to tell a true 4th Generation (1983 - 1988) Monte Carlo SS from a non-SS by the VIN alone is to look at the 8th digit of the VIN. This is the Engine Code.  For 1984 through 1988 models, the 8th digit MUST be a 'G'. This signifies the car came with the L69, 305ci, 5.0L High Output V8 engine. True SS cars came with no other engine.
