This is a 1918 Chevrolet Model 490 Touring Car. This car originally belonged to the Hansson Family that had a farm on Blacks Road northwest of Hebron Ohio. In 1932 Mr Hasson broke down with a leather clutch that broke. Joseph Walters purchased the car on the spot for $10.00 that very day. Mr Walters kept the car for himself and used in it local parades in Hebron, Newark, and other areas for many years.
The car has been painted three times, blue,yellow and later black. The car has been in nearly every parade held in Hebron and Buckeye Lake.
In 1969 the car was totally restored to showroom condition ans was shown in car shows all over the country, Hershey PA., Indianapolis IN, Columbus OH, Lancaster OH, Zanesville OH, Johnson City TN, Kingsport TN, and Jonesborough TN. and many other shows. The car won 1st in its class in Chevrolet Antique Auto Club, including Best f Show in Indianapolis IN. The car has also driven one lap around at the Indy 500 race track.
The 490 Touring car has been in a museum since 2008.
