1940 Custom Ford Truck is unique with its many modifications including hood designed by Chip Foose and modified by Steve Moals, lead fabricator. It has a stock chassis with Fatman Front Clip, narrowed Heildts upper and lower control arms, rear section raised and narrowed for more clearance. Frame rails completely boxed, 2” dropped spindles, conventional shocks in front KYB in rear. Manual rack and pinion. Chassis completely color sanded front to back. Brand new Wilwood disc brakes all around.
Complementing the car’s exterior is all leather designed and installed by Ward Auto Interiors, square weave carpet with leather headliner, custom seats by Tea’s Design Inc.. Vintage air, vdo gauges, pioneer stereo with Polk speakers and sony 4 channel amp. Ron Francis harness front to back.
Truck powered by a NASCAR engine builder built 355 ci yielding 370 Horses. Engine is balanced and blueprinted, ported and polished heads, comp cam, 100 amp alternator, Edelbrook torquer manifold with 650 carb and dynomax mufflers with2½’ stainless exhaust. Transmission is a Turbo350 with B & M 1800 stall converter built by Frank Swords.
Sits on New Butnick Knife, wheels, front 17X7 and rear 18x11.
Dupont Chroma One YS 202 single stage paint buffed down to 2500 before polish was applied to the exterior of the truck. 1939 Ford deluxe head lights were installed, the drip rails were removed, all fasteners are polished Allen head button heads.
