cars. Stepping out of the shadow of its more boxy 64 and 65
siblings, the 66 offers a more elegant look while maintaining the
iconic stance we've come to love about the Chevelle.

During this frame off restoration the 1966 SS Chevelle was treated
to a gorgeous, meticulously applied, glass smooth red paint job.
Combine that with flawless body gaps and perfectly straight body
lines capped off with brand new chrome badges and this rare

correct, 396 big block Chevy engine, distinguished with an bright
Chevy orange paint job and accented with stunning chrome valve
covers and a matching air cleaner. Being offered for the first time
in mid 1965, the big block 396 became the standard power plant of
the Chevelle for the next 2 years only, this helped to cement the
SS396 as an instant and highly sought after classic!
This particular 396 boasts a Mallory ignition distributor, 8mm
Accel Ferro-Spiral Core spark plug wires, duel radiator mounted
Spal electric cooling fans, hooker headers and a fully welded Pypes
Performance exhaust system. Gone is the cam driven mechanical fuel
pump, in favor of a more efficient flowing electric delivery system
feeding a 4 barrel Holly carburetor.
Bolted to the back of this monster big block is another period
correct, aluminum bodied, Muncie 4-speed manual transmission
offering smooth transition between its gears while transferring
power to a time tested and near bullet proof, GM 12 bolt rear
end.
Open the door and climb into this convertible and you'll find
beautifully upholstered front bucket seats and an equally stunning
and comfortable rear bench seat. These are complemented nicely by
new matching door panels, new carpet, chrome door handles, window
cranks, air blower bezels, and shifter handle that all stand out
brightly against the nicely accompanied tan upholstery. You have
