1959 Triumph TR3A Roadster.This is one seriously great looking and
strong performing two seat triple black roadster.Starting life as a
California Black Plate car this car has a number of upgrades that
performance folks will love and the purists may be able to get past
once they spend ten minutes behind the wheel. We've had the
opportunity over the years to own a number of TR's and this is the
best driving one we have ever driven.Let's start by saying that
every nut and bolt has been turned, touched, refreshed. The paint
is beautifully applied on a very straight body with only an
occasion imperfection here or there. Show worthy. All the chrome
and trim has been renewed and the interior is stunning with black
leather seats and quality components. The frame and body on this
roadster show no signs of stress, damage or rust in its past.The
drivetrain on this car was completely gone through during the
restoration process and the engine rebuild includes 87mm pistons
and liners, fast street cam, lead free head conversion, polished
ports, balanced, performance headers and an oil cooler. Then we
move on to TR Works Intake Manifold, electronic ignition, Revington
alternator conversion, and a gear reduction starter. The trans is a
TR4 unit with overdrive and it works perfectly. What a joy. The
rear end is stock and an oversize radiator with electric cooling
fan is on board. The entire wiring harness has been renewed.This
Stealth 3 is riding on 72 spoke 5" rims with Yokahama tires (don't
you love the black on black look) , new splines and the front
suspension and front disc brakes have been all done with all new
TR4 Revington TR steering mods. Anti-sway bars are present front
and rear but tastefully done.Serial number TS43103L, Engine TS43754
and trans CD13164. Overdrive is numbered 22/1374/001898. This is a
driver's car with the upgrades and good looks. Yes, we know it has
a small mouth grill that was the builder's preference and we must
say, with the cyclops driving light, it looks great.Drive it, show
it, keep it in a bubble and polish it as a prized possession, the
