Vehicle Description
Beautiful paint, custom comfortable interior, overdrive
transmission, and a powerful Cadillac V8 under the hood - this 1954
GMC 100 is a stunning example of how to build a classic correctly,
and give it all the best driving and showing upgrades. That's why
we bet the most work that the real wood truck bed is going to do is
haul home awards.
These classic GMCs always attract attention. After all, they have
the similar curves of Chevy's Advance Design pickups with a little
bit of extra flair all its own. It also has great classic elements
like the tall chrome bumper guards, windshield sunshade, and even a
rare GMC hood ornament. Plus, every vintage truck person loves the
look of the five-window cab. This one is great, right down to the
details, like the GMC badging that identifies this one as
originally a Hydra-Matic truck. But you also instantly know this
one has been given plenty of modern investments since its workman
days. And a great way to showcase this is with the modern luster
from this modern Bermuda Blue. And the lowered suspension with a
sporty set of American Racing Torq Thrust wheels (with larger,
wider ones in the rear) instantly single this is a street
machine.
Inside, the exterior blue returns, and now it's joined by a very
tasteful cream on the door panels, headliner, and seats. This does
a great job of blending vintage and new worlds. For example, they
kept the classic pickup bench seat, but now it has modern
bolstering to be all-day comfortable. The classic GMC steering
wheel lets you know you're piloting a vintage machine, but beyond
that, you get full modern gauges to keep you fully informed. There
are great features like power windows and provisions for R134a air
conditioning. Plus, while the dash has that vintage GMC ash tray
shining in the middle, you still get a nice modern AM/FM/CD stereo
hidden in the glovebox.
Plenty of custom vintage pickups like this are upgraded to V8
power, but what's under the hood of this one will really draw a
crowd. To drive-home this truck's premium feeling, it now has the
390 cubic-inch V8 borrowed from a classic Cadillac. You can see
this distinct motor so well thanks to the painted Cadillac-script
valve covers and the mirror-like firewall that reflects it all.
This V8 inhales deeply thanks to an Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor, and it exhales with authority out of the Flowmaster
dual exhaust. And make sure you check out the undercarriage photos.
There you'll not only spot the reinforced custom-painted chassis,
but also you'll see some great driving upgrades. It includes a
tubular A-arm front suspension, tubular control arms in the rear,
adjustable coilovers at each wheel, and Wilwood four-wheel disc
brakes. Plus, with the power steering, limited-slip rear axle, and
a four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, this has all the
best cruising features.
This is the custom vintage pickup that's ready to show off
everywhere from Power Tour to the morning commute. It's the classic
truck with all the right comfort features. So at this price, you
know you need to be quick to take it home. Call today!!!
