A great deal of time, money, and effort has gone into making this
old Ford Woody the perfect cruiser! After the second (current)
owner purchased the car back in February of 1988 it was driven for
a few years before it underwent a restoration of the wood panels on
the car in 1994. Taking over a year to complete by a professional,
the woodwork has held up nicely and, to this day it still looks
great! Under the hood sits a 351 cubic inch Windsor V8 with only
2,500 miles put on since the professional rebuild by a reputable
racing shop. The front suspension was replaced with Mustang II
components providing a much nicer ride and premium control. As you
slide into the interior that was reupholstered back in 2005, you
will feel as if you were transported to a different era. A time in
history where it was deemed "okay" to make most of the panels out
of wood! Fire up that big V8, drop the transmission into drive, and
start to cruise! You can almost hear the "Endless Summer" album by
The Beach Boys, playing from the aftermarket stereo. The ride
quality is very comfortable and feels safe even at higher speeds.
The rack and pinion steering is smooth and much more precise than
stock, and the disc brakes will stop you quickly. Everywhere you
go, this old Ford is sure to turn heads and be a crowd pleaser!
