I have this 64 Chevrolet Chevy short bed truck. 350 engine 350
trans 12 bolt rear end plus power steering, locks, windows and lots
more! It has just about everything repaired or replaced or new put
on it at this point. I took it as a trade, but I figured out
quickly why with lots of repairs shortly following.
In the last year, the 350 turbo transmission, Hedman Headers, New
behind seat fuel tank and sender and a power steering unit both
have been installed. Before mean the last 3 years they did shaved
door handles with keyless entry, power windows and power locks with
door poppers, rear gas shocks plus a Mallory HEI distributor with
high output spark plug wires.
In the last six months:
Complete CPP tubular upper and lower control Arms with new Coil
springs, Disc brake conversation setup, Fan with a clutch, and
alternator, Electronic Ignition switch and full steering rod ends
and linkage in front combined with the power steering box this
truck turns like a new car.
In the last 2 weeks making sure everything is good for sale I have
done:
Plugs
Oil change
Thermostat with chrome housing
Radiator & heater core flush
Front pads
Rear brake wheel cylinders & brake shoes
Rear end differential flush and new fluids with new gasket and
bolts
The truck was painted a semi-gloss blue I have to say is nice
because you don't have to worry about polishing and all that other
crazy stuff. You just wash it, rinse it and ride it. This truck is
meant for driving and it's comfortable as it has all the
conveniences that you need for a daily driver. Radio updated to CD
player with 4 speakers.
The electrical has also been updated with relays on the headlights,
ignition system and more for a safer more stable system. Sadly one
of the areas that cause fire issues with this vehicles. It does
have some chrome parts in the engine compartment but still very
clean for a nice but simple to maintain look.
This truck is in excellent shape and needs nothing. So, buy with
confidence you will be happy for a long time. I, however, have two
other project vehicles I need funds to finish so my loss is your
gain.
