Vehicle Description
Ground up high quality restoration on a completely rust free car. I
am sincerely over impressed with the condition of this car. It was
an extremely clean 40,000 mile original car to start with.
Everywhere you look is like new. This is the quality you hope to
find in cars costing 3 times as much.
UNDERSIDE: Man, I'm impressed. Possibly the cleanest original metal
I've seen. The floors have spotless seems, factory spot welds are
plainly visible, there isn even pitting. The metal is smooth as the
day it was new with a satin black finish. Even the bottom of the
rockers and 1/4 panels are spotless. Upfront the steering and
suspension is all rebuilt. Has disc brakes. Bottom of motor looks
new. Trans is a rebuilt Hughes cruis-o-matic with aluminum pan. Has
dual exhaust with cross over pipe and Flowmaster mufflers. Has air
shocks in back. Everything looks proper- neatly run brake and fuel
lines and parking brake cables, painted gas tank.
EXTERIOR: The body is absolutely mInt. I have it on the lift at eye
level and looking down the side of its like looking at a piece of
glass. It is laser straight, the body gaps are right on the money,
trim fits perfectly. Doors shut nice even with windows up. Every
piepiece of exterior trim and chrome is at least 8 out of 10. The
grill, marker lights, side moldings etc are mint. The trim on top
of the bed is straight and polished. Inside the bed is mint and
painted a gloss finish. The entire body has slick smooth paint. The
jambs are also slick, even the hardware, latches are clean. Glass
and weatherstrips are excellent. Has radial redline tires on chrome
GT style wheels.
INTERIOR: Just as nice as the rest of the car. From carpet to
headliner it is like new and proper. The dash area is mint- pad has
no cracks, gauges are clean, knobs and levers sparkle, steering
wherl is not cracked. Headliner, visors, upholstery,� seat belts,
door panels, carpet are excellent. Under the dash it does have some
upgraded features- fm converter, 8-track and tachometer. Behind the
seat is a 5th matching, brand new red line tire for a spare. The
original jack looks new and is mounted properly.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Neat, orderly and detailed. Looks like a new
car under the hood. The firewall and bottom of hood is painted a
smooth glossy yellow. The rest is a smooth satin black. The
original motor is a 302. Its been rebuilt and upgraded with
aluminum intake, Edelbrock 4-barrel carb, MSD ignition and dressed
up with some Ranchero finned aluminum valve covers. Most the
components under the hood are new, many still have the labels on
them like the alternator, master, steering pump.
There is also a lot of extras that are included- 2nd set of keys,
deluxe framed Marti report, original manuals and literature. If you
love high quality but have a limited budget, this is the car for
you. If you love Rancheros, you hit the jackpot with this one!
