A wonderfully original hardtop bullet bird, purchased new by my father. Less than 35,000 original miles, always parked in the same little California garage. 100% original Raven Black paint and chrome in great shape, no hint of rust. All original interior, soft and pliable. Even the carpet is really nice; it was always covered with some cheap mats. No dash cracks at all. PS/PB/PW power driver’s seat. Warm A/C. Great Ford Swing-Away steering wheel. Push button AM radio. Original FE 390 engine with Cruise-o-Matic automatic trans.
The fun part is all the original small parts that are usually long gone by now, with FoMoCo logos and paint spots from the assembly line. Original fuel pump and carb (rebuilt with new-fuel parts), original generator, coil and voltage regulator. Even the original plug wires, still in good shape. The original master cylinder has been sleeved, original FoMoCo brake drums. All original exhaust system, solid. Original spare tire in the trunk. The car even comes with the original window sticker and sales order.
There are new parts where required. Brakes have been gone through, including new wheel cylinders and flex lines (original shoes come with it, if you want to get them re-lined). New gas tank and radiator (again, old ones available to rebuild). All new repro hoses and clamps, new reproduction AGM battery and cables. New tires.
Overall, this beautiful car is an absolute pleasure to drive.
