Vehicle Description
With GTO V8 power, a Corvette rear end, and full custom a/c
interior, this 1940 Ford Business Coupe is an amazing slick custom
classic that will captivate everyone with all its amazing
details.
Here's your favorite moonshiner. The extended trunks of these cars
were a favorite of liquor-running outlaws. And in this case, the
modern Black Cherry gives it a slick and dark presentation that's
perfect for slipping through the midnight air. But more than just
the cool moonshiner legacy, you want this one because it was the
last year for this generation of Ford coupes. By 1941, they would
carry a softer design language with a more rounded front end and
less pronounced fenders. So this one celebrates its iconic design
with expertly deleted bumpers so you can get a terrific full view
of the sharp protruding grille and beautiful rear fenders that
extend the full design. The elimination of more bright work also
gives this classic a modern flair. Shaved door handles, sport
mirrors, integrated brake lights, and much more really make this
one a standout. But a classic like this needs some bright work.
It's now reserved to highlight some of the best features of old and
new - like the classic teardrop headlight housings and modern
Billet Specialties wheels.
When you pop the remote door openers, the interior instantly shows
you plenty of reminders that this custom build has comfort and
quality in mind. It starts with the tan leather seating that has an
armrest and individual bolstering for long-haul comfort. The
headliner, carpeting, trunk, and custom door panels match this and
look exceptionally fresh. The dash is equal parts comfort and
performance as the wood-style inlay contains the air conditioning
controls, AM/FM/CD stereo, power window controls, and a full set of
classic-style VDO gauges. The shine from the banjo-style steering
wheel and Lokar shifter are equal parts performance and flair.
When you look under the hood, you're once again reminded of how
thorough this custom build is. After all, they took the time to
paint the valve covers, intake, and block the same black cherry to
match the exterior. More than just stylish, you're looking at a 389
cubic-inch V8. So while most of the custom 1940 Fords retain blue
oval power or get a Chevy upgrade, this one has Pontiac GTO-style
muscle. Not just extra distinction, this was a powerful
displacement that's upgraded further by a Holley four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock intake, and a rumbling dual exhaust. To go
with this extra power is a serious upgrade in handling. That's
thanks to a Mustang II-style independent front suspension with
tubular A-arms and adjustable coilovers. In the rear you've been
upgraded to a Corvette-style independent setup. Plus, you can take
advantage of this superior suspension with four-wheel disc brakes
and grippy Nexen performance tires. Being a performance build,
you'll easily cruise the streets with power steering and a TH400
three-speed automatic transmission. Plus, the aluminum radiator
with electric fan means this one stays cool no matter if you're
performance driving or just idling in traffic with the A/C
pumping.
This has the distinction, stance, features, and power you want. So
you know a total package like this '40 Ford won't be available for
long. Don't miss out, call today!
