Vehicle Description
For sale at our Gateway Classic Cars Dallas/Ft. Worth Showroom is
this 1982 Lincoln Town Car. The 80's would be the reveal of the
all-new shared Lincoln Continental and Mark VI bodyshell was based
upon the "Panther" platform utilized by Ford and Mercury. The new
Panther platform allowed for advances in suspension geometry and
many upgrades were made to the power steering. With the handling
improvements and reduced overall size, the Town Car featured an
improved ride coupled with better overall road manners. Compared to
its GM counterparts and Lincoln predecessors, the new-generation
Lincoln offered more agile maneuvering, as well as a reduced turn
diameter by over 8 feet (compared to the 1979 Lincoln Continental).
This 1982 Lincoln Town-Car was purchased in west Texas area in 82',
where it remained until approximately 2005. It was then brought to
the DFW-area where it has resided ever since. This vehicle is a
family owned 3-owner vehicle, which has been passed down through
generations. Amazingly this vehicle has only 31,462 miles. It has
plenty under the hood sporting a 302 - V8 engine with fuel
injection. Other stand out features on this vehicle include,
Key-pad entry, laminated woodgrain dash, well kept crisp-blue
