Gateway Classic Cars welcomes this 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado to its
Philadelphia showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! Titled as the
first American production car with front wheel drive, the Toronado
was ahead of its time thanks to the engineers at GM who utilized
the car as a means to convey the latest in technological advances.
It had been nearly thirty years since the Cord 812 hit the streets
with its unique styling and front wheel drive, a vehicle which
Oldsmobile designers heavily studied while fashioning the Toronado.
At its debut, the Oldsmobile Toronado featured an array of
revolutionary innovations including the heavy-duty Turbo-Hydramatic
400 three-speed automatic transmission and an improved 425 CID V8
topped with a Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor. This
particular combination was called the Unitized Power Package (UPP)
which endured grueling testing and came out as one of the best
built powertrains out of Detroit. This bronze 1966 Toronado
features this and so much more! Open the elongated doors with
duplicate handles to reveal a handsome interior that fits the whole
family! Take note of the futuristic steering wheel and the awesome
slot-machine speedometer that vertically rotates as you speed down
the highway! There is so much to love about this Oldsmobile that
you have to see it in person to truly appreciate its contributions
to auto history! Don't waste another minute looking; pick up the
phone and take home Motor Trend's Car of the Year, the 1966
Oldsmobile Toronado! To view this 1966 Oldsmobile Toronado in
