Vehicle Description
This 1988 Chevy K5 Blazer is an amazing build. This is a special
truck and it is not some hack job that someone put together.
Thought went into everything that was done and this truck runs and
drives down the highway at 75MPH with 1 hand on the wheel with
ease. This truck is overbuilt and done right. There was countless
hours of planning, labor, and much money invested. We don't have
all of the receipts but we do have $30,000-$40,000 of receipts.
This Blazer was built to be a very reliable and capable overland
rig that could also be driven daily if desired.
This truck started out as a Rust Free from the Pacific Northwest
and it looks to have most of its original paint except for the
rockers because they were coated with lizard skin. The whole inside
floors and the underside were coated with lizard skin and every
seam was sealed. This is still a Rust Free Rig. True Frame Off
Restoration. They also added new weatherstripping after lining the
Blazer. A very cool addition is the aftermarket front winch bumper
and rear tire carrier bumper. These are both HD Bumpers that are
custom made.
The seats are original and in excellent shape, but they did add new
carpet and sound deadener when the interior was removed. It also
has a new dash pad, Vintage Air & Heat, CB radio, Stereo, all
gauges work, all power windows work, rear window converted to
manual and works, all lights and blinkers work.
The engine is a 2006 6.0 Liter LQ9 Vortec Maxx that had 58,000
miles on it when installed. They took the engine completely apart
before installing and replaced the timing chain, harmonic balancer,
added high volume oil pump, 145 Alt, HD Fan Clutch, LS Hooker
manifolds,/headers, new throttle body, new mass airflow sensors and
O2 sensors, new engine harness, and the list goes on and on. You
get the picture. Transmission is a 2006 4L80E that was totally
rebuilt to handle 575 Pounds of Torque. Transfer case is a 1986
NP205 all rebuilt with Twin-Stick. It also has an ORD Magnum
Gearbox between. Outputs are 1410 all the way around. New Tom Woods
Drive shafts w/ double cardan joints 1410. Rear Axle is AAM 10.5
Rebuilt 14 Bolt. Factory Disc Brakes all around and 4.10 gears with
Limited Slip Differential. ORD greasable shackles. Front Axle is
also 4.10 Gears and is from a 1986 (DANA 60).
Other items include ARB Air Locker, 35 Spline Axlers, New Warn
Hubs, New U-Joints, and Greasable Shackles. Also Electric Intake
Fuel Pump with new lines, New Transmission Lines, New Brake Lines.
There is an ARB Compressor Mounted under the hood with tire
inflation Kit. Blazer has a 4 Inch Lift Kit with 5 Brand New Mickey
Thompson Tires (285/75/16). There is so much to list on this truck
and so many nice touches. This can be bought for a fraction of the
cost to build at our price.
