Vehicle Description
For a quick refresher on how evolution works, look no further than
the Ford Mustang. Each generation gets more powerful, more capable,
and more comfortable, all to keep up with the Bowties across town.
This 2014 Ford Mustang Roush Stage 3 is a beautifully preserved,
unmodified specimen, but don't for a minute think that it's a
pushover. Not with 575 horsepower on tap, it's not.
The burgundy color is rather rare and it's is an excellent choice
on your 550+ horsepower Mustang. Elegant, pure, and unadorned, it
lets the horsepower do all the talking. The all-new Mustang
bodywork retains the classic look and there's no question that this
one has Ford Blue blood running through its veins, although the
Roush body kit makes it look even sleeker than before. Obviously
it's always been a fair-weather toy and not a daily driver, and
with 7870 miles on the clock, it still looks virtually new. There
might be a nick here and there, and maybe a scuff on the
low-hanging chin spoiler, but we're guessing that this car enjoyed
being babied almost every weekend. The finish is spectacular, far
better than you'd expect for a mass-produced pony car, and the
Roush upgrades do make the all-new Mustang look longer, lower, and
yes, nastier. You'd be a fool to mess with this car on the
street.
Ford gave the Mustang big upgrades inside, starting with
ultra-supportive leather bucket seats that are only a few steps
away from being racetrack-ready. The horizontal pleats are
definitely a nod to the past but everything else is
state-of-the-art in pony car performance. There's almost zero wear
on any of the seating surfaces and just a few creases from someone
sitting behind the wheel, but they're easy to miss. Everything else
is as-new and fully operational. The gauges are retro-style but
high-tech, with the computer screen between them so you can select
trip functions or seat the car up just the way you want it. There's
a ripping 6-speed shifter in the center console, topped by a fat
cue ball knob that's pure retro cool and the big trunk is
surprisingly functional for a car whose primary mission is speed.
And this car is so fresh, even the original floor mats haven't been
installed yet
The 5.0 liter DOHC supercharged "Coyote" V8 has everything Roush
knows about horsepower packed into it. In the day of 700+
horsepower Dodge Hellcats and 650 horsepower Camaros, it was the
only proper response. The big supercharger sits on top, funny car
style, and force-feeds the high-tech powerplant enough boost to
make 575 horsepower and 505 pounds of torque. It is not modified
and hasn't been raced, so no worries about a track dog or a car
that's been thrashed, and it has obviously been well-maintained. A
few red accents suggest this isn't a garden-variety Mustang and of
course there are the requisite production badges that make it
special. Underneath, there's a Roush-tuned suspension and barking
exhaust system, and they work to elevate the Mustang's performance
significantly. Giant Brembo disc brakes give it plenty of stopping
power for the engine's performance and the grippy Cooper radials on
optional Hyper Black Roush alloy wheels do their best to hook it
all up.
Always exclusive and always fast, this Roush delivers more of
everything that makes the Mustang great. Beautifully preserved and
unmodified, this is the one to keep for posterity. Call now!
