Vehicle Description
The 1965 GTO was offered as an available option on the Tempest
LeMans. 1965 was the first year of the trademarked stacked
headlights and the powerful high-output 389ci engine. This 1965
Pontiac GTO, featured in its original color of Nightwatch Blue with
blue vinyl interior, was the recipient of a full restoration and
has been well-maintained and sparingly driven since it was
completed. It is fully documented with PHS paperwork. This GTO is
powered by an upgraded, period-correct WS-coded 389ci 8-cylinder
engine with Tri-Power backed by an upgraded Turbo 350 automatic
transmission. It's equipped with factory power steering, and front
power disc brakes with dual master cylinder provide the stopping
power. This GTO was selected to be shown at the New England
International Auto Show; one of the five cars in the featured
Muscle Car Display.
