in A museum in Kokomo,IN as A static display and being sold on a

Ford sold, it was not inconceivable that some might see duty other
than rolling on dirt or paved roads. This particular unit looks
ready to plow, furrow, till, seed and more. Its green exterior over
black wings is in great condition. The tractor's lights are in good
order, as is its tilt-back windshield. The bodywork on this tractor
is in marvelous condition given that it's nearly a century old. The
tractor's engine bay is quite tidy and its wood bed looks great and
is ready to haul or just look pretty while empty. This tractor
rolls on Universal brand 30 x 3.5 oversize tires surrounding wooden
spoked artillery wheels in front with a Knickerbocker rear axle
tracker wheel conversion and green metal treaded wheels in the back
for gripping the soil. Under the hood is a standard 177 CID
four-cylinder engine mated to Ford's signature two-speed manual
transmission with its famous three-pedal configuration for which
the Model T was known. In the cab, there is just the ignition
switch and an amperage gauge on the wood instrument panel, meaning
the crankshaft lever up front is just for show. The black,
three-person bench seat is in excellent condition, as is the
four-spoke steering wheel, which has the lever to control the
tractor's speed. There's also a floor-mounted, hand-operated
emergency brake. Doodlebug tractoris the colloquial American
English name for a home-madetractormade in the United States
duringWorld War II,when production tractors were in short supply.
The doodlebug of the 1940s was usually based on a 1920s- or
1930s-eraFordautomobile, which was then modified either by the
complete removal or alteration of some of the vehicle body. If you
prefer your vehicles uncommon, you're an early 20th century Ford
