Vehicle Description
This gorgeous 1956 Bel Air convertible is a true American classic
car icon. As the VIN number indicates, this car is a real 1956
Chevrolet Bel Air convertible 8-cylinder that was built in Norwood,
OH. As the cowl tag indicates, this car retains its original color
combination of Onyx Black with Ivory and Charcoal interior. This
car was treated to a complete restoration and is show-quality
throughout. The body is straight with nice gaps throughout. The
paint is beautiful and dresses the car well. There's something
special about a black tri-five Bel Air convertible. It sports a new
black soft convertible power top with new motor for smooth
operation. It's equipped with a spotlight that is in working order.
Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced, such as
the stainless trim, chrome trim, bumpers with bumper guards,
antenna, grille, door handles, rocker moldings and T3 headlights.
The car sits on brand-new Firestone Deluxe Champion 6.70x15"
Whitewall tires that complement the color combination perfectly.
Everything in the rich interior has been restored or replaced, such
as the dash, gauges, knobs, switches, steering wheel, seats, door
panels and carpet. The car is equipped with a dash-mounted
stoplight viewer and tissue dispenser. It also has a modern retro
stereo unit and speakers. The painted trunk compartment is nicely
detailed with new padding under trunk lid, spare tire, jack tools
and rubber mat. The engine compartment is also nicely detailed and
home to the date-code-correct 265/225hp V8 with dual 4-barrel
carburetors. This engine runs great and breathes through a dual
exhaust system with chrome tips. The engine is coupled to a 3-speed
column-shift manual transmission. The undercarriage was undercoated
at some point during its life and was cleaned up very nicely during
the restoration. The car has been serviced and completely detailed.
