Vehicle Description
This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is all about taking one of the most
aggressive '60s designs and adding ultra-slick paint, modern trim,
custom A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, a modern LS3 V8, and
so much more. So yes, this is the ultimate restomod muscle machine
with all the best upgrades.
There are zero worries that anyone will look at this coupe and
think it's bone stock. The excellent metallic gray paint is
borrowed from a much more modern Corvette palette, but even that
won't confuse this car for anything straight from the factory. The
investment in plenty of modern clearcoat applied by a very
professional hand has a mirror-like effect that highlights all the
best curves. You know the body is laser-straight because
imperfections can't hide from this kind of artistry. Only the best
chrome around can keep up with this kind of shine, and you'll love
the new bumpers, custom grille, and polished American Racing Torq
Thrust wheels. This is a mean machine that makes its presence known
even when standing still thanks to custom details like the
crystal-clear headlights and enhanced power bulge in the cowl
induction hood.
Open the door to a full custom interior that has a terrifically
dark performance attitude. And with less than 5,900 miles on this
build, it all feels exceptionally fresh. Those bucket seats have
all the right modern bolstering to keep you planted on twisty roads
while also being all-day comfortable. In-between is center console
with tall armrest, cup holders, and an AM/FM/CD/XM stereo that has
modern connections for Bluetooth and you iPod. There's even cold
R134a air conditioning. This really does have all the right modern
conveniences, including power windows, power locks, and an alarm
system. You'll slip behind the grippy sports steering wheel with
cool classic Camaro center cap. Beyond that is a custom carbon
fiber gauge panel that includes a full readout package, including a
large AutoMeter speedo and tach. All of this gives your senses the
tingle of performance even before you twist the key and hear this
one roar.
You'll love popping the hood at car shows and showing off the
top-notch transplant of a modern Camaro motor. The fuel-injected
6.2-liter LS3 V8 is a very cool powerplant to have. After all, they
were part of the Camaro's latest revival, and they are good for
well over 400 horsepower right out of the box (and that's not
counting the added Texas Speed camshaft!) This performance crate
motor was installed less than year ago, and it includes the right
supporting components, including a Ron Davis aluminum radiator,
Dirty Dingo serpentine belt system, and MSD Street Fire CDI
ignition. The V8 inhales deeply through a K&N cold air intake,
and it exhales with authority from the Flowmaster H-pipe dual
exhaust. The modern 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission was
built to handle all this extra power and even provide overdrive
comfort. And take some time to look at all the undercarriage
photos. The suspension has been upgraded with tubular A-arms up
front and a four-link rear with adjustable coilovers. Plus, there's
power steering, BF Goodrich gForce Super Sport tires, and Wilwood
four-wheel disc brakes.
There's so much in this custom that we just don't have the space to
list it all. But give us a call, and we'll go over all the build
receipts. Until then, just know that this is the kind of Camaro for
those who like to be seen, heard, and envied.
