From my research only approximately 1,300 of these vehicles were
imported into the US as 1987 models. This vehicle was the precursor
to the M6.
I purchased the vehicle over ten years ago and I have put on only
5,500 miles since purchasing - Mileage is now 134.5k. I have spent
over 10k on going over all of the mechanicals in 2010 - work done
by a BMW specialist. I have records from previous owners showing
over 20k of work done on the vehicle. I have original sticker over
$50k back in 1987.
At this point it is time to move on from this vehicle just don't
have time to enjoy and don't enjoy the low seating as I have aged
as well. This is a 31 year old vehicle, so just like other older
cars it has electronic gremlins especially with the dash (gas
gauge, oil temp etc.) but mileage is correct and speedo works fine.
Cruises nicely on the highway at 80. Car has held up quite well and
is ready for a new owner to enjoy. Car is inspected in MA through
6/19. Undercarriage pics available through text. New
Battery in August NOTE: Have reduced price as of 10/4 - one
of the motors in the driver's seat has stopped working - only
reason for reduction - I will let new owner fix.
