The 1957 model year brought a host of changes including revised
chassis, styling, and trim lines. The new models were the best
selling cars in America that year and eclipsed long time rival,
Chevrolet. There were a variety of trim levels available with the
top of the line being the Fairlane 500. 11 body styles and 6
different engines meant that there was a Failure to suit every
taste.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this beautiful 1957 Ford
Galaxie 500 for your consideration. Finished in Starmist Blue over
Colonial White, this car is said to be all original except for one
respray and new carpet and is allegedly from a Ford executives
collection out of the Detroit area. The car is in impeccable shape
inside and out, with a straight body and lovely paint. The exterior
is very nice and features excellent trim, factory hubcaps, wheels
spats, dual exhausts, and dual exhausts. The interior is super
clean, with excellent blue seats, headliner, dashboard, and
Trim. Everything looks just as good as it was new and is a a very
cool place to be. The interior is very original and features
original instrumentation and a clock.
This lovely 500 is fitted with a 312cid V8 engine that is said to
make 245hp and is mated to a column shifted automatic transmission.
Everything else is manual, including non power brakes or steering
and the car is true to its original build. Coming with two keys and
the shop manual, this car is sure to turn heads!
