Vehicle Description
This 1928 Ford Model A street machine is out to command your
attention in its slick and deep blue appearance. But when you look
at all the alluring details - from the steel body to the
performance 302 under the hood - you soon realize that this great
value is more than just about its bold first impression.
There's no question that this Ford has an instant presence. We have
68k in receipts documenting this full build. So the slick paintwork
has the kind of professional application that looks like the whole
body was dipped in a dusky blue. Plus, it has all the right
aggressive touches like full pinstripe package, dual exhaust tips,
and 14/15-inch Cragar SS wheels for a terrific stance. But this one
also never loses its vintage appeal. The Henry Ford steel body
retains elements we all love, like the bright grille with headlight
bracket running across the front, artful chrome bumpers, long
running boards, and the full vinyl roof. The total impression is a
street machine that respects its history.
Inside is a similar story with a full custom interior that offers
plenty of comfort while still remembering its lineage. The tall
upright body still provides the same superior headroom that people
were enjoying 90 years ago. But now upgrades like those front
bucket seats not only provide superior comfort, but also the color
matches the door panels, carpeting, and headliner for a full
uniform appearance that everyone loves at car shows and cruise
nights. The leather-wrapped Lecarra sports steering wheel feels
great in your hands, and it's mounted on a Flaming River tilt
column. The wood dash panel houses a full set of Classic
Instruments gauges, and below that is an AM/FM/CD stereo with iPod
input. So your classic cruiser can always have modern tunes.
It's great to see a legendary Ford V8 under the hood of an iconic
Ford design. This 302 cubic-inch motor comes from the master
rebuilders at Jasper Engines. It has been dressed up to show off
with polished components like the air topper, pulleys, intake, and
Ford Racing valve covers. But more than just look the part, this
one produces reliable performance with the right upgrades that
include an Edelbrock 600 CFM four-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition,
radiator w/electric fan, and Sanderson headers that feed a wicked
sounding dual exhaust. While you're looking at the pipes in the
undercarriage photos, don't forget to check out the upgraded
tubular independent front suspension and the sturdy four-link rear
- both with adjustable coilovers. And three-speed automatic
transmission and front disc brakes make this a great all-around
cruiser, too.
This is a true classic steel body that also has all the hot rod and
convenience upgrades you crave. So hurry up and grab this deal.
