#8, 1966 Indy Car, G.C. Murphy Gurney Eagle, Roger McCluskey – One of only six!
John Fugate found the car beside a barn in Brownsburg, Indiana. In 1966 Indy 500 Roger McCluskey started 21st, finished 12th and qualified 159.271 MPH. McCluskey won Langhorne, PA USAC champ car race in June 1966 in this car. McCluskey crashed the car in 1970 while driving relief for Dallenbach. Owned by Lindsey Hopkins; built by Dan Gurney All-American Racers; driven by Roger McCluskey and Wally Dallenback; restored by Jim Robbins. AAR chassis, Ford V8 255 DOHC, independent suspension all around, coil springs, front and back shocks inboard. This car is one of only six, believed to be chassis #204.
