Now for sale in our Houston Showroom is a 1955 Ford Sunliner
Convertible. Ragtop lovers flocked to Ford showrooms in 1955. They
took home 49,966 1955 Ford Fairlane Sunliner Convertible Coupes.
Only Chevy came remotely close with about 41,000 soft-top sales.
Dramatically new sheet metal and a trendy wraparound windshield
draped the carryover 115.5-inch-wheelbase chassis. A concave
checkerboard grille, Fairlane "checkmark" bodyside trim, and large
"Jet-Tube" taillights completed the look in '55. This gorgeous
classic car screams of the '50s. We're pretty sure you can hear the
Happy Days theme song if you listen closely. The Sunliner is
powered by its original, numbers matching 292 CID V8 and
Cruise-O-Matic transmission. The drive train has been recently
rebuilt and now has just 3,500 miles! The car features a new top,
lift cylinders, heater core, gas tank, alternator, rear air shocks,
and front suspension. The exterior of the car is painted in a great
looking red paint which glares and is highlighted by lots of
chrome! The interior is comprised of a custom red/black vinyl
upholstery. The interior has been fully customized and makes this
car show ready. The door panels have been done in a nice classical
red flame with black backing to keep a smooth transition from the
exterior inward. The chromed dash really makes you feel like you're
sitting in a '50s diner. Other options include: A/C, AM/FM Radio,
Convertible Auto Top, Hub Caps, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Seat
Belts, Vinyl Interior, White Walls, and Radial Tires. The numbers
matching rear-end was also rebuilt just 3,500 miles ago. The whole
drivetrain has been rebuilt and is ready to hit the road. For even
