1969 Chevrolet Chevelle�offered for the first and only time the
SS396 package as an option on the 300 Deluxe sport coupe and the
300 Deluxe sedan. This car is the real deal. Ordered from Kelly
Chevrolet in Butler, PA, the original owner ordered this '69
Chevelle as a model 300 post coupe with the SS396 option. This car
retains its original factory L-35 396cid/325hp engine, M21 Muncie
4-speed close-ratio transmission and 12-bolt 3.55 posi-traction
rear. The SS396 package includes 396cid V8 engine, special domed
hood, black accented grille, power disc brakes, sport wheels, wide
oval tires, wheel opening moldings, bright engine accents and
special chassis features. Options include power steering, tinted
glass and rally wheels. The car has all original sheet metal and
running gear. It has received a frame-off restoration with photo
documentation and was finished in its original Fathom Green. It
retains its original matching numbers L-35, M21 and 3.55 12-bolt
posi-traction. Many restoration receipts. Car is documented with
the original Protect-O-Plate. These cars are very rare and are
seldom seen today.
