Movie fans of the "Need for Speed" might recognize this classic.
This 1966 Pontiac Le Mans was badged as the Iconic GTO and used in
the movie "Need for Speed 2". As anyone familiar with movie
productions can attest "movie-cars" are built to withstand the
rigors of filming to include safety. . The exterior garners more
attention than the interior as these pictures will attest. This car
is powered by a great running LS-3 engine married to a Trimec
5-speed transmission. Long hours of filming would also call for
comfort thus a new A/C was also installed. It has power steering,
power 4-wheel disc brakes, (two additional rotors on rear). The
front end was reconstructed with tubular A-frame with nylon
bushings and the rear consist of a Currie 9" Ford The rear houses a
Currie 9". It has 3" exhaust. Owner seeks the fair price of $35K
but might consider other reasonable cash offers after a personal
inspection which are welcomed and encouraged by appointment only.
The car is located in Stockbridge, GA 30281 approximately 20 miles
