Lot #679.1 - One of only 26 1969 Z/28s to have received the Legend
Award from the American Camaro Association. Legends is the highest
level of Camaro judging at the Camaro Nationals. The Legend Award
is truly an honor in the Camaro world. Certified authentic by
well-known Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance. This car is
also highly decorated with many other prestigious awards. Some of
these include the Muscle Car and Corvette Nationals – Concours Gold
Certificate, four-time Chevy Vettefest – Gold Spinner, Participants
Choice, Top Gun and Best Original, six-time Super Chevy Auto Star –
Class Winner and Outstanding Detail, two-time AACA – Senior, United
States Camaro Club – Diamond, ICC - Highest Scoring Camaro and
International/Geneva Concours d’Elegance – Participant and First
Place. This car great ownership history with six owners and tons of
original documentation, including the car shipper sheet, copy of
MSO, owner’s title/certificate of registration, Bill of Sale from
first owner and second owner, warranty folder, warranty transfer
form, owner’s manual and multiple registrations. It was shipped to
Shelton Harrison Chevrolet, located in Ashland, TN, and purchased
new by Henry Pardue, who lived locally. The car was ordered with
the following options: soft ray tinted glass, black vinyl roof
cover, center console, posi-traction axle 4.10 ratio, power disc
brakes, 4-speed close-ratio transmission, special instrumentation,
AM push-button radio, special ducted hood, Rally sport equipment,
Z/21-style trim group, auxiliary panel and valance, Z/28 special
engine and equipment package. This car was treated to a high
show-quality rotisserie restoration. Many original and NOS parts
were used throughout the restoration. A list of all the correct
part numbers is included. The body is very straight with excellent
gaps throughout. The car sports its original color combination of
Daytona Yellow with black stripes. The paint is show-quality and
the color is beautiful. The car sits on the correct Rally wheels
and Goodyear Wide Tread GT bias-ply E70-15 tires. The car retains
the original color black interior which is in like-new condition.
The detailed trunk compartment is home to the spare tire and jack
tools. The engine compartment is factory correct and highly
detailed. The car retains the original matching-numbers DZ302 V8
engine. The engine was completely rebuilt and runs excellent. The
engine breathes through a correct new Gardner exhaust. The engine
is coupled to the original matching-numbers 4-speed close-ratio
transmission. The power is transferred through the original
matching-numbers 12-bolt rear axle. The undercarriage is
factory-correct and highly detailed. This vehicle has been serviced
and completely detailed. This 1969 Camaro RS Z/28 is for the most
