1949 Dodge Coronet owned by me and my father since 2002. The engine was completely rebuilt soon after we bought it. Since then my father ,who resides in Europe, has used it as his car during his 2-4 week visits per year. Every year we have restored or updated numerous items including all transmission wiring, new interior, new side glass weather stripping,front shocks, rebuilt radiator,new water pump, new waterpump,rebuilt generator etc.It never stranded my Mom and Dad during their visits and extensive travels around the midwest.We have kept the car as original as possible. All gauges work with the exception of the temp gauge. We have a modern temp gauge mounted under the dash.The car is very solid but has some very minor rust blemishes on the bottom of some of the doors. The front windshield has a knick from what we think was a BB gun shot and there are two small holes in the doors where the previous owner had mounted some 70's era rear view mirrors.The paint is about a 7. My father is slowing down and has asked me to sell the Dodge. The car is kept in storage year round and is started it up and driven every few weeks with the exception of the winter months.
