Vehicle Description
Introduced in 1982, the second generation Sunbird was once again a
compact sedan, hatchback, wagon, coupe, and convertible based on
the GM J-body that also underpinned the similar Cavalier. In 1988,
the lineup was updated with more aerodynamic body, new dashboard,
and revised trim structure. A 2.0L four cylinder was standard, with
a turbocharged I4 and 3.1l V6 on the option list. The car was very
affordable and sold well.
