History

The sixth generation of the Ford F-Series is a line of pickup trucks and medium-duty commercial trucks that were produced by Ford from 1972 to 1979. These were the last generation of trucks to use the F-Series chassis introduced in 1965.

This generation is noted for the body panels' durability as Ford used extensive amounts of galvanized sheet metal, zinc coated steel, zinc rich primer and fender liners, to fight corrosion. In 1976, the F-Series became the best-selling trucks in America, a position it has continued to hold ever since.

Why This Truck Is Special

The beautiful 1975 Ford F150 Ranger we have here at Skyway Classics has a lot to offer. It is an extended cab Supercab, which is rare to begin with. It has cold blowing air and has had a frame off restoration. It was a one owner truck from 1975 until 2018 when it was passed down in the family.

Mechanical

The engine is a strong running 390 V8 instead of the smaller engines usually found in these series trucks.
The FE 390 Ford engine was a great engine for these trucks as it had good horsepower and torque all thru the rpm ranges. Ours looks just as it did when it left the showroom with all the correct air cleaner, valve covers, PS, PB, and more.

Interior

Our 75 has a matching green/black bench seat interior both front and rear with green dash, door panels, and carpet. The factory gauges, seat belts, and all the trim are factory also.

It also has a perfect working radio with auxiliary hook up capabilities, wooden console, and great headliner.

Exterior

This truck has been repainted in a great green paint scheme with chrome bumpers front and back in beautiful condition. It was restored 8yrs ago and the powertrain was rebuilt including engine trans and rearend.
