For Sale: 1972 Ford Mustang in Alexandria, Virginia

Vehicle Description

My 1972 Mustang Coupe which I've had for about 4 years. I am the 3rd owner. This car is very sharp and runs great, a true cruiser - never drag raced or abused. It's time for her to go as I will be moving over the next few months and don't have the garage space to keep her. The body is near perfect and a previous owner got it the Zeibart undercoating and interior rail rust proofing some time ago which explains why it is near rust free. Alabama & NC car for it's life prior to arriving in VA a few years ago. Garage kept and it shows.

Clean title, meticulously kept, incredibly clean and beautiful.

Engine / Trans:
1966 C Code 289 Engine, 9.81:1 compression (runs on regular gas)
Edelbrock Performer 4bbl Carb with electric choke
3.5 g/r TRACLOK (posi-traction rear) - No wheel hop with flooring it
C4, 3 speed, automatic transmission - shifts great.
PMGR mini-starter, high torque, low amp (avoids heat soak)
Electronic Ignition and coil (Pertonix Flame-Thrower Billet II)
1-wire, 100 amp alternator (Powermaster). Supports any possible electronics you can imagine.
Electric fan (Flex-a-Lite 3000 cfm).
Newer Dual Exhaust (Flowmaster 40s)

Magnum 500 rims and tires (tires have a lot of tread left)
1" front sway bar (Grab-A-Trak) & 3/4" Rear Sway Bar (hits corners very well)
Replaced sagging rear leaf springs with stock height springs
Power Brakes (front disc, back drum), stops better than 99% of classic cars.
Power Steering, steering is spot on with no slop
Replaced almost all steering components - pittman arm, idler arm, control arms, etc. Drives straight with no hands on the wheel.

Interior
RCCI Innovations gauge cluster tach (in-dash tach) conversion
Modern 3 point seat belts with drop link so it rides properly on shoulder
Engine temp, oil pressure and voltage triple gauge
New heater core installed '15
High End Aftermarket Radio (Custom Auto Sound USA-2) with 2x AUX input
Grant 15" Steering Wheel
Full Length Console (from Mach 1)
Carpet is ~7 yrs old, looks great.
Replaced Front bumper in '09 with new shiny bumper.
Replaced Front grill in '10 with original tooling grill.
Interior looks near perfect, like new.
Replaced dash pad looks perfect, color matched to original. Only one small tear on drivers seat.
All wiring is professionally done, no hack jobs.
One previous paint job in original color, date unknown I'd guess in the late 90s.

94K on the body & trans. Rear end rebuilt with new g/r in 2013.
Engine was from a 66 Galaxie 500.

This car has been worked on with modern upgrades, reliability and mild performance in mind. This car starts in -10 degree weather and runs like a champ in the hottest August south Georgia days. Easily over 10k just of new parts have been added into this and I have a folder and the records to prove it. I would EASILY drive this car cross-country with confidence. You don't have to get a state inspection if you register as an antique, but I got it inspected Oct '17 so you know it is in good shape.
