1940 Chevrolet Pickup. VIN 5K00410776. Odometer reads 26,663 miles. Inline 6 cylinder engine, 4 speed manual transmission, manual steering and brakes. This truck retains it`s original straight-axle front suspension and drum brake set up. It`s a pretty original truck that`s not been altered by customizers. It runs good and drives like you`d expect of a 78 year old vintage truck. The brakes work well. As with many old trucks, it goes down the road just fine but is best suited for country roads and city driving. This is not a freeway flyer. The doors open and shut good, the windows roll up and down fine and the crank-out windshield operates smoothly. The body is solid and straight, solid underneath. The paint shines but is old and has several chips and scratches as can be seen in the photos. This truck has great character.
