Lot #657 - This ’64 Austin-Healey 3000 MK III BJ8 “Big Healey" has
undergone a highly documented, professional restoration by noted
Austin Healy restorer Kurt Tanner. Wearing California Sage, this
car is powered by a 3.0-liter engine with twin SU carburetors and a
4-speed manual transmission with overdrive gear box. It is equipped
with front disc brakes, walnut burl trim, oyster leather
upholstery, wool carpets, canvas soft-top, adjustable steering
wheel and a heater. It also has chrome/stainless wire wheels. Its
exhibits excellent reassembly detail with as much attention paid to
the underside, inside body panels and under the hood along with a
quality exterior finish.
