1984 BUICK REGAL T-TYPE (Turbocharged), with Glass T-Tops. The T-Type Regals are identical to their counterpart Buick GRAND NATIONALS. Unlike the Grand Nationals that were only offered in BLACK, the T-Types were offered in several different colors. That’s the only difference between these two vehicles.
I am the second owner and have owned the car since 1986 (15,000 miles on the car). The car has now 119,580 original miles on it. The car was restored several years ago and has not been a daily driver since. The car is driven occasionally to Cars & Coffee gatherings and car shows. The car is garage kept and covered and driven less than 300 miles/year. This car is sharp looking and fun to drive with the T-Tops removed. I get many thumbs up from fellow car enthusiasts. I hate to sell the car, but I am now retired and would like to invest in a travel trailer.

ENGINE:
3.8 V6 with Sequential Fuel Injected and Turbocharged (3.8 SFI TURBO)
ENGINE MODS:
The 3.8 block was bored .30 over and fitted with TRW forged pistons by a qualified mechanic that specialized in BUICK Turbocharged vehicles. In addition, it has a Hi Performance (Kenny Bell) Cam Shaft, aftermarket 30 lbs. Fuel Injectors, and Rebuilt Turbocharger. Also, has a high flow Walbro fuel pump and Racetronix wiring.
TRANSMISSION:
700R4 turbo four speed automatic overdrive transmission. It was rebuild and has a B&M Shift Kit & a High Stall performance (Kenny Bell) Torque Converter.
INTERIOR:
The Upholstery was done by Garza’s Upholstery shop in La Puente (One of the best in the country). It has a blue cloth bucket seats (with Turbo 6 power Logos on the head rests), with the factory matched stitching. New carpeting and DYNAMAT sound deadening on the floor and door panels. Also, has a center console with the shifter. This vehicle also has a DIGITAL dash. I have installed an aftermarket PIONEER Bluetooth Stereo, and also have the original Delco Remey AM/FM Cassette unit if you decide to put back for that original look.
EXTERIOR:
The body is in excellent straight condition. It was painted with the original factory color, Metallic Bluish Gray. All the weather-stripping on the doors, trunk, and the T-Tops were replaced, Bumpers re-chromed, and the black plastic trimmings/grill painted black, just like it came from the factory. The factory wheels have been restored and fitted with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires.
SUSPENSION:
It has Pro Stop disc brakes in the front with new powder-coated calipers and drilled/slotted rotors, and Drum brakes in the rear. Other than the shocks, the suspension has the original factory components.
