For Sale: 1992 Dodge Daytona in Miami, Florida

Vehicle Description

This is a beautifully detailed amateur restoration of a clean straight example. The body exterior has been stripped bare and refinished with Dupont primer, base coat and clear coat products.  OEM disk-drum brakes were removed and replaced with IROC 4 wheel disks.  All of the hoses, the master cylinder, and the front rotors are new, while 4 rebuilt calipers painted G2 yellow are installed as well.  The steel lines were flushed and the system is running silicon brake fluid.  A replacement aluminum radiator, new hoses, and belts are installed, along with new R134a rated A/C parts: Condenser, both hoses, Compressor, Expansion Valve, Drier, Pressure Switch, and the evaporator. The power steering pump and rack are rebuilt with new hoses fitted. All suspension components were media blasted, refinished, and rebuilt as needed. Polyurethane bushings and new ball joints are installed.  From the firewall back the underside of the car is painted gloss black, while the engine compartment and jambs are done in base coat clear coat.  Hours were spent removing weld spatter from the engine compartment.  A full rebuild was performed on the 41 TE incorporating all available Sonnax updates, updated valve body, updated solenoid pack, auxiliary cooler, 2000 differential, and a rebuilt converter. The V6 has everything outside of the block new or rebuilt. This includes oil seals, gaskets, starter, belts, hoses, tensioners, idlers, Alternator, and water pump. Inside the original interior was re-installed with only the headliner and visors recovered. All fuel hoses were replaced with SAE 30 R6 hose although no ethanol has ever been in this car. Every bolt was painted if the original finish was not intact before installation. Anti seize, or loctite was used liberally. All bare metal parts have been painted for rust protection, such as the dashboard and the center console frames. Four tires and a battery were installed new late in 2017. Numerous spares both new and used are included with this car. The original odometer failed at 76402 and the car may have accumulated one to two thousand miles before it was changed for a unit reading 94660 in 3-14-04. Shortly after this the car was put up on blocks in the garage. The current reading is 94995.  There are not many of these cars left.
