Vehicle Description
Looking for a high-impact, modern day muscle car? This 2010
Chevrolet Camaro Indianapolis 500 Pace Car certainly checks the
right boxes. Its magnetic exterior is in great shape, there's
serious big block power under its hood and it comes with all the
features you'd want in a daily driver. Plus, if you're looking for
collectability, you'll find it right here - there were only 294 of
its kind made.
Cruise this Chevy down the boulevard and turning heads will be a
given. Its Atomic orange exterior looks great and features an array
of Indy 500 ornamentation to proclaim its special status. A pair of
broad white rally stripes run its entire length, event decals sit
securely on its doors and you'll find intricate badging on both its
front fenders. You can easily imagine that the Indy cars lined up
in back were itching to sneak up alongside just to catch a glimpse
of this striking pace car. It's a sleek, agile looking car in its
own right - based on a concept that wowed audiences during the 2006
Detroit Car Show and featuring an aggressive yet refined design
that brought home the World Car Design of the year trophy when it
was released. Everything in sight remains in good order - no
serious blemishes on its high impact paint, fresh-looking trim and
light casings, and precise alignment between body panels on all
four sides.
Climb inside and you'll feel right away that you're behind the
wheel of something special. The front buckets and rear bench seat
feature striking two-tone inserts, and very sturdy special event
stitching ornaments the headrests up front. Both are in unusually
clean condition - you really can't find much evidence of use at
all. Take another look in back and you'll notice that Chevy
provided a lot of support for this Camaro's backseat passengers, so
when you lean into a turn, there's not likely to be much sliding
around behind you. There's a great looking dash area on display
here, featuring trim to match the exterior of the car, and a nicely
arranged collection of gauges and controls. You'll have no shortage
of audio options when you're on the road, in the form of an
AM/FM/CD player that also has Bluetooth and Satellite connectivity.
The trunk area in back doesn't look like it's seen much use at all,
with no indentations or marks on its carpet-lined floor and a cargo
net still sitting securely in place.
Make no mistake, this special edition Camaro is configured to do
more than draw attention. A 6.2 liter V8 sits under the hood in an
engine compartment that's about as clean as any you're likely to
come across. There's a lot of eye candy to view here, as well, with
the powerplant's valve covers also painted to match the rest of the
car and very fresh looking black components everywhere you look,
but there's plenty of power to go along with it - 400 horses and
410 lb./ft. of torque, in fact. It's paired with a 6-speed
automatic transmission that's the virtual equal of its manual
counterpart in performance driving - you don't come across that
very often - and will spare you from your chores on the clutch
pedal in everyday driving. Beefy power disc brakes at all four
corners provide plenty of stopping power as this Chevy rides the
asphalt on a set of special-edition 20" alloy wheels outfitted with
Continental tires.
