V8 (NOM) Transmission: 4 Speed Manual with Hurst Shifter Miles:
93872 This 1962 Corvette is a very nice driver, It has a period
correct 327 V8 that is not original to the car. The engine runs
very strong and the transmission shifts nicely through all the
gears. A few minor changes that have been done over the years that
include the installation of a Hurst shifter, radial white wall
tires, and a custom dual exhaust system. �The heater core, fan
clutch and carpeting were replaced this year. When the car was
brought out of a 18 year storage in 2011 the gas tank & sending
unit were replaced, the brake system was completely rebuilt, hoses
replaced, carb rebuilt and the radial tires were installed. 2 years
ago a new clutch was installed.� The Black Vinyl interior is in
very good condition with some wear on the passenger arm rest. All
of the gauges are present and working. The clock and the wonderbar
radio are present but do not work. The Honduras maroon paint shows
well with a few very minor chips. The car was repainted in its
original color in 1997 and still looks very good. The emblems,
chrome and stainless steel trim are in excellent condition. The
soft top could use replacing and a hard top is available as well.
