For Sale: 1985 Volkswagen Rabbit in Kentwood, Michigan
The Rabbit was built on the Iconic Golf Mk1 platform and was sold
for nearly 20 years depending on production and sales outlets
throughout the world. It was the first time VW made the shift from
rear engine air cooled cars to front engine, front wheel drive
cars. Also a lot of people might not know is that the MK1 was
Italian designed. The Rabbit Cabrio and the Golf Cabrio as it was
known in Europe was built and sold from 1980 through 1993 and was
built from start to finish in its Karmann factory. This particular
VW has seen its share of use with covering over 200,000 miles from
new. Still showing remarkable well for those mileage and this car
has not been restored. It has received several thousand dollars in
recent major service from water pump, belts, hoses, fluids, brakes
and more. This Rabbit still has a lot of life left and is very
presentable showing the typical wear and tear for a vehicle of this
age. A newer sound system is has also been installed.
