Vehicle Description
1949 Chevrolet 3100 ton 5 Window Pickup
These trucks were part of GMs Advanced Design Series, with more
comfort and room. The cab design was described as having Unisteel
Battleship Construction. These vintage pickups have very strong
collector support and are hard to find this nice. The model was #1
in truck sales in the US in 1953. This particular example is
finished in Dark Blue with a Black bench seat and interior trim.
Powered by the venerable 216 Inline 6 cylinder mated to a 3 speed
transmission with column shift. Safety is enhanced by excellent
brakes and suspension, brand new Wide White Wall bias ply tires on
16 inch painted steel wheels with trim rings and center caps. The
bed is finished off with new cabinet grade oak and new polished
stainless rub strips. The grill is chrome and the bumpers are like
new. The great thing is this is the more desirable 5 window cab
which was a much lower production vehicle and the desired body
style today. Here is you chance to enjoy this ready to drive icon
of Chevy truck design today at a very fair market value.
