Gateway Classic Cars is proud to have such a clean little
convertible listed for sale. This red 1962 Buick Special Deluxe is
perfect for cruising anywhere on warm summer nights and is sure to
turn heads. This car starts right up and is ready to take you
across the country with only 84,639 actual miles on this original
numbers matching engine and transmission. The 2-speed automatic and
Buick 215 V8 engine is the perfect combination for this Red on Red
convertible. Power steering and brakes really allow you to enjoy
the luxuries of this era. The red vinyl interior shows minor wear
and tear signs and is overall in great condition. The red paint on
this car almost still shines in the sun like the day it was bought
back in 1962. All the gauges and dash features are in very clean
and working condition. Overall a very nice driver quality car
inside and out. The 1962 model sold 153,763, including 42,973
Skylarks. The two speed "Dual Path Turbine Drive" automatic was a
Buick design and shared no common parts with the better-known
Chevrolet Power-Glide transmission. In 1961, the car returned after
a short absence of two years, but this time it was on the brand new
unibody compact GM Y platform. The Special was powered by a 155 hp
(116 kW) innovative aluminum-block 215 in V8, and had Dualpath
transmission and power steering.[17] In mid-year a Skylark option
was released with special trim, optional bucket seats and a
four-barrel version of the 215 that made 185 hp. This 1962 Buick
Special Deluxe convertible is perfect for any cruise in car show
and would be a great add to any collection. To see 100+ HD pictures
