Now for sale in the Houston showroom is this amazing 1971 Plymouth
Roadrunner! This is a numbers matching 383 ci V8 car with the
automatic transmission, finished in the beautiful orange color that
has proved to be so popular. As many people know, 1971 was the last
year before emissions regulations really started biting down on the
high compression and powerful engines that the muscle car era was
driven on. In 1971 the 383 was still producing 300hp, only slightly
lower due to a lower compression, but with the ability to run
regular gas and fit into lower insurance brackets. This was the
first of the second generation of Road Runner which changed the
coupe bodywork to a more rounded "fuselage" design, which
significantly improved aerodynamics and stability at high speeds.
Different from prior years, the B-Body two-door cars featured very
little (if any) sheet metal, glass or trim with 4 door bodies. This
car sounds very healthy and will remind you what proper muscle cars
sound like. Power steering is a feature included with this car
which really helps with parking in tight spots that we experience
these days. This Road Runner is believed to have had two prior
owners before it's current owner who has owned the car for the last
12 years. Receipts from work done since then can be provided upon
request. This is not a "like new" "show quality" car, this is a car
than you can jump in, fire up and drive down the road, with a smile
from ear to ear, perhaps with a coyote in your rear-view mirror!
Don't miss your chance to own this rare and desirable classic for a
price that you will never be able to resist. For even more
