Vehicle Description
Originally designed to be an off road vehicle to compete with the
Jeep CJ and International Harvester Scout, the Bronco was Ford's
first compact SUV. Introduced in 1966 and offered with a wide range
of engines, the Bronco was an instant success. For over 30 years,
the Bronco was a staple of Ford's truck lineup and to this day
still holds the hearts and minds of enthusiasts.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to bring this 1971 Bronco to the market.
While fully restored or highly original trucks soaring over the
$40k mark, rarely do you see cheaper options. This particular
vehicle is far from a showroom example and has a lot of cosmetic
imperfections. The frame itself is reasonable clean and the 302cid
V8 is a solid running engine. The 3-speed column shifter is good
and the truck runs and drives well. The body and trim is intact but
has a large amount of surface imperfection and pitting. The paint
is pretty bad and has lots of chips, cracks, and overspray. The
factory white hardtop also is decent at best. The interior is
presentable and the seats are useable with good padding. This truck
would make an excellent place to start with a restoration project.
There are no missing parts and truck still runs and drives. With
the price of admission skyrocketing, this truck will be a great
project or just a simple example you won't feel bad using the way
it was designed.
