Mercury is finished in Yosemite Green paint accented by a mostly
original Green interior with Green and Beige striped seats. It is
powered by the original 255CI Flathead V8 engine mated to a smooth
shifting Merc-0-Matic automatic transmission. She drives like a
dream and has that famous Flathead rumble. This car has been well
loved and well maintained it's entire life and it really shows when
you get behind the wheel.So many of the Mercury's of this vintage
have been modified or cut up into hot rods that it is a breath of
fresh air to see such a nice, honest and original 51 Merc. Best of
all the odometer is only showing 64,500 miles that are believed to
be origninal to the car! Other features include suicide doors, a
restored radio set for both AM and FM signals, period correct
finned aluminum Offenhauser heads, electric fuel pump, and steel
