This 1978 Ford F-350 Ranger XLT is one seriously cool truck. It has
a survivor-grade appearance inside and out, but under the hood is a
big power upgrade to make sure this extra-duty pickup really knows
how to still have 4x4 fun.
If you're a truck person, we know you already like this one a lot,
because you just don't see too many of the serious F-350s from this
era anymore. After all, most were purchased for industrial-strength
duty and got used up quickly. But this example is the exact
opposite. The exterior is believed to be a highly original, which
tells you the level of care in just how the sheetmetal remains
complete. This originality is believed to include the dark blue
metallic paint with cool blue pinstripe highlighting the
full-length Ranger XLT premium trim. Sure, it shows signs of use
over the last 40 years, but most of us love that kind of character
worn into a solid truck like this. Plus, you get more great
original touches like the Explorer hood ornament and top running
lights that came on these heavier duty models like the F-350. And
this lifted truck has plenty of shine with the grille, bumpers,
premium trim, and upgraded Mickey Thompson wheels. But this classic
is also still a workhorse - after all, it's a long bed F-350! And
with the diamond plate on the tool box, rear bumper, and protecting
the edges of the bed, you know it's tough enough to get the job
done. You even have a tow hitch with a full electric hookup.
Inside is more great premium originality. You really get to see it
on the seats where the blue vinyl with artful and comfortable cloth
insets - and it's all believed to be original. It coordinates
nicely with the tones of blue on the door panels and carpeting. The
Ranger XLT trim gave you premium wood appearance on the dash and
dual-spoke factory steering wheel. And while this as a stock
appearance, right down to the gauges, there are also some nice
upgrades. The AM/FM/CD stereo makes this a much nicer cruiser.
Plus, the addition of a SunPro tach and auxiliary gauges hint at
something special under the hood.
The tidy presentation of the engine bay lets you know there has
been a solid investment here. This truck has been upgraded to
Ford's famous 429 cubic-inch V8. It also has powerful upgrades like
a Holley four-barrel carburetor, MSD ignition, and headers. This
extra power is a fine addition to an extra-duty F-350 like this.
And with the lifted suspension, Skyjacker shocks, Ground Hawg
tires, and full 4x4 drivetrain, you know this has the power and
ability to keep moving long after the pavement ends. Plus, the dual
fuel tanks will get you deeper into nature. But more than just an
off-road machine, features like power steering, front disc brakes,
and the strong C6 three-speed automatic transmission are great to
have at any time.
A cool original presentation meets upgraded power - this is
everything you want in a classic pickup, and it's a rarer F-350. So
a total package like this is sure to be leaving us soon. Don't miss
out, call today!
