For Sale: 1940 Chevrolet 3/4-Ton Pickup in Mesa, Arizona
Vintage on the outside, upgraded A/C on the inside, and plenty of
V8 power - this 1940 Chevrolet Pickup is a great vintage machine
that exceptionally comfortable to show off everywhere.
This is a terrific-looking old-school Chevy. The matte green paint
and real wood truck bed have a nice vintage vibe. And the details
are great with the color matched wheels and mirror-like hub caps.
Plus, the full body shop graphic on the doors and bed rear really
give this a workhorse feeling. But then as you look closer, you
start to understand this is no workhorse at all. The super straight
body is part of a solid investment. They also eliminated the
bumpers so you could get an unobstructed view at great classic
elements like the tall grille that dips below the fender line.
Plus, the full red pinstriping package and cursive Chevy script on
the rear is part of a detail-oriented build.
Inside you get the same expert merging of vintage and new. The door
panels remain old pickup simple and you get a styled steel dash
that is painted to match the exterior. But one look at the
contoured bench seat, and you know this truck has been upgraded for
comfort. In fact, it even has air conditioning - something they
never even dreamed of having in 1940! And the classic dual steering
wheel gives you an excellent view of the new full VDO gauge
panel.
When you open the butterfly hood, you'll see that this classic
Chevy is powered by a much younger Chevy legend. The 350 small
block V8 looks tidy under the vintage air topper and matching black
valve covers. Plus, it inhales deeply from an Edelbrock four-barrel
carburetor, and it exhales with extra power thanks to shorty
headers. More than just a power upgrade, this is an all-around
terrific cruiser. It rides on a newer chassis that includes an
independent front suspension, power steering, and front disc
brakes. There's even a four-speed automatic transmission with
overdrive so you can enjoy this classic on the highway. Plus, those
classic whitewall tires even hide a more modern tread for easy
riding. And if you find yourself in a traffic jam, the aluminum
radiator w/electric fan means this classic truck runs cool even if
you have the A/C pumping.
This is an exceptionally thoughtful built that takes a pre-WWII
truck and makes it as comfortable as a daily commuter. So if you
want your vintage experience to also be comfortable, don't miss
this deal. Call today!!!
