In 1969, Ford began building the popular Galaxie on a new platform.
With a 121-inch wheelbase and significant changes in engine sizes
offered, this fourth-generation of the Galaxie varied a great deal
from its predecessor. Ford's desire was to create wider appeal by
varying both power and styling, giving the consumer greater choice
in the look and handling of the vehicle they bought.
This 1969 Galaxie XL GT is an outstanding example of a great
restoration on a truly unique car. Defined by its Marti Report as 1
of 1 XL GT built in its configuration, this is not a vehicle to
miss. Its Candyapple Red exterior, complimented by white striping
grabs your attention. On the interior, the correct White Knitted
Vinyl seating and driver's cockpit design demonstrates Ford's
efforts to create a vehicle with comfort and performance in mind.
With the GT Performance Group package, the car was built with power
front disc brakes, extra heavy duty front a rear springs and shock
absorbers, a heavy duty front stabilizer bar, high rear axle ratio,
simulated mag-style wheel covers and GT ornamentation. In the
images of this vehicle you will find a copy of the original vehicle
invoice as well as the Marti Report for this car. A true
one-of-a-kind and a joy to drive, this XL GT is a great addition to
a collection or a solid first purchase.
Unless stated otherwise, vehicle mileage on title is exempt and
unknown if original.
